Coalface Dialogue Services Communication

Communication is the key to being effective and successful in business and life. At Coalface we have chosen to use the term ‘dialogue' in the company name as dialogue embodies communication, a sense of purpose, connecting and interchanging between parties as a 2-way process.

Interest-based dialogue and problem solving provides a structured process by which participants work to solve problems while simultaneously fulfilling their own needs and attempting to satisfy the needs of others.

In practical terms this involves a shift from "your position versus mine" to a perspective of "you and I versus the problem".

By doing so, we increase the potential that each of us might obtain what we want in way that neither of us had previously considered. And, by focussing on the problem rather than the people this allows for stronger relationships to be developed and maintained.

Coalface has been training, consulting, facilitating and coaching subject matter experts in the art and science of facilitating and collaborating effectively for many years. Interventions include large scale events and over the internet.

This workshop is designed for anyone that that increasingly needs better results from their interventions. It is applicable to those that have no formal training as well as those that have significant on the job experience.

Currently this program is offered in-house and as a ‘code-share' program. If you have a smaller group of 3 to 6 participants in a particular geography we can combine your participants with similar groups from another organisation. Code-share programs provide many of the benefits of running an in-house program and a very practical solution for regionally diverse organisations.

What makes a great presentation? If you got your point across - if it changed the audience somehow - if it persuaded them to think differently - or motivated them into taking action - then it was effective, and that's what really counts.

Coalface has been training, facilitating and coaching subject matter experts in the art and science of presenting effectively for almost 10 years. This includes at large scale events and live presentations over the internet.

For people that are already regular presenters, this course will challenge assumptions and ‘raise the bar'. It will offer several tools and techniques that will augment their existing toolkit.

For most of us who have our ‘regular job' and occasionally present, this course provides a structured methodology to help them prepare for the next major presentation.
